We are looking for a Server/Retail Sales Associate to join our team!

Position: Retail Associate & Server

The Organized Crime is a small, family-owned estate winery located in Beamsville, Ontario, with a retail store, tasting tent and patio. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our sales team to help us in our retail store and serve our guests.

This is a part-time position for a Retail Sales Associate & Server.

Job Description

The sales position would require you to work in our retail store to help our customers select and purchase wines; and to serve flights of wines and wines by the glass in our retail store, the wine tasting tent, and patio weather permitting. You will be working directly with the Winery Owner or other Retail Sales Associates & Servers.

Duties include:

  • Opening and closing the retail store and patio; opening/closing umbrellas, wiping down tables & chairs as needed
  • Greeting and seating guests
  • Promoting a positive and fun experience for our guests by knowing and sharing The Organized Crime story; have product knowledge of our wines, and our philosophy
  • Serving on the patio for wine-by-the glass and flight service
  • Aiding guests in selecting and purchasing wines in our retail store
  • Bussing tables
  • Cleaning and polishing glassware
  • Restocking shelves in the retail store with wine & merchandise
  • Maintaining the cleanliness in the retail shop, patio and all public areas

General Skills & Knowledge

  • Must be Smart Serve Certified; with a strong serving background
  • Have an understanding of Niagara wines, with wine education an asset
  • Have Sugarbush POS system knowledge, preferred but not necessary
  • Ability to lift and carry 35lbs cases of wine

Pay Structure & Schedule:

  • $18 hour + Tips
  • 7-hour shifts: 10 am – 5pm
  • Saturday & Sunday, and some Fridays
